As part of the “Future of Aviation Careers Student Outreach Program” supported by Boeing, the Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) event brought together industry professionals and academics. The event covered safety management practices in airlines and airports, risk-based decision-making processes, and multi-stakeholder coordination through real case studies and expert discussions.

The third event in the series focused on sustainable aviation. The discussion, which explored how a transformation between aircraft and airlines is necessary to achieve sustainability in aviation, featured Andrew Sweeney, MSc from Boeing and Orhan Gül, PhD from iGA Istanbul Airport, with contributions and moderation from Assoc. Prof. Çağlar Üçler, a faculty member of the Professional Flight Department at Özyeğin University.
